Kasapio

Photographer, Videographer

This fashion series was created for KASAPIO, an Afrocentric label exploring the intersections of clothing, ritual, and visual storytelling. Each piece is unique — hand-assembled and deeply symbolic, merging ancestral codes with contemporary silhouettes.

My photographic approach reflected this hybridity.
In Berlin, I shot a clean studio production focusing on form, fabric, and gesture — capturing the sculptural presence of KASAPIO’s designs through light, shadow, and body. The images emphasize clarity, materiality, and the quiet force of wearable art.

In Kampala, I followed the brand into public space — markets, textures, encounters — to photograph the garments in motion and in context. Here, the camera became more fluid, documenting spontaneous moments between models, clothes, and the city’s energy.

A short video completes the series, blending rhythm, breath, and presence. KASAPIO is not just fashion — it's a carrier of memory and vision.
