In a fusion of athleticism and artistry, my project with Understatement Underwear delved into the intrinsic power derived from vulnerability and grace. This collaboration was not just about capturing the aesthetic appeal of Understatement’s designs, but also about expressing the deeper narrative of empowerment through surrender.
Understatement, a female-founded and female-run force of change, redefines the meaning of sexiness by embracing self-defined empowerment. Their mission is to create underwear that celebrates diverse bodies and evolving identities, giving women the freedom to feel confident, supported, and sexy on their own terms. With their inclusive and liberating approach, Understatement turns an everyday necessity into a bold statement of self-love.
Through this project, we explored the connection between strength and softness, celebrating the beauty of women who move, create, and express themselves freely. Together, we highlighted the powerful message that empowerment starts from the very first layer.
